Philippine Red Cross frontliners in Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro ramp up additional capacity to serve Kagay-anons during the pandemic, through its partnership with PLDT wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc.

For programs aimed at ensuring continuous learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic, education initiatives of Smart were recognized at the opening of the Mobile Learning Week 2020 of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

In 2013, when he was brought to the Philippine Eagle Center in Davao City, the brown and white eagle was weak and sickly. Gabay Guro, the flagship education program of the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), honored over 400,000 teachers nationwide who viewed the first-ever virtual Grand Gathering live last October 3.  

Hospitals, frontline workers, communities and families continue to receive support and assistance from the Tulong Kapatid, the CSR consortium of the companies under the leadership of Manuel V Pangilinan.    

PLDT has partnered with PBSP to support sewers from a community in Quezon City and provide teachers and partner communities with hygiene kits.

PLDT gave webinar sessions to community members of Barangay Tumanding in Arakan, North Cotabato to equip them with knowledge and skills to help in their day-to-day activities. 

Over 500 families from Fuga Island in Aparri, Cagayan recently received grocery packs from the PLDT-Smart Foundation through the assistance of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-10, Philippine Marine Corps stationed in Northern Cagayan.
