PLDT Lens with PSF and Juan Portrait reach out to Dumagat kids

The PLDT Lens Camera Club, in partnership with PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and Juan Portrait, reached out to schoolchildren of Cabog Integrated School in Dingalan, Aurora recently to teach them basic photography and distribute school supplies.

PLDT Lens also celebrated Indigenous People’s Month with the activity since majority of the students in Cabog Integrated School are members of the Dumagat Tribe, an ethnic group living along the Pacific coast of the province of Aurora.

PLDT provided broadband connection at the command center of the local government units (LGU) in Makilala, North Cotabato and Kidapawan City after the magnitude 6.5 earthquake and aftershocks that ravaged Mindanao in October which affected almost 200,000 people.

Through its Community Relations (ComRel) Division, PLDT also donated some 500 blankets, divided equally among residents in the Municipality of Makilala and Barangay Ilomavis, Kidapawan City.

PLDT adds color and cheer to Bacolod’s Masskara festival

Dubbed as the country’s most colorful festival, the annual Masskara Festival in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental is a month-long celebration that aims to spread joy and delight to locals as well as tourists who flock to the City of Smiles to witness the numerous events and take part in the merrymaking.

The festival highlights are held every fourth Sunday of October. To celebrate, people wear smiling-faced masks, colorful costumes and bold and unique statement accessories as they parade in the streets of Bacolod.
