PLDT, Smart fully restore communication services, complete fixes in Bohol and Negros Island post-Odette

PLDT has fully restored its fixed services in Negros Island while its mobile services arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has fully restored its wireless services in Bohol after super typhoon Odette devastated the two provinces toward the end of 2021.

Despite the continued absence of commercial power in some locations and re-work due to clearing operations as well as incidents of cable theft, PLDT Inc. and its wireless unit Smart Communications Inc. have restored services by up to 99% for wireless customers and 86% for fixed customers in the Visayas, following the onslaught of Super Typhoon Odette.
