PLDT and its wireless subsidiary Smart have been recognized by Safety Organization of the Philippines for outstanding achievements in workplace safety and employee well-being.

The week-long observance brought together employees, partners, and advocates to promote proactive practices that protect people and the planet.

As part of ongoing efforts to boost workplace safety and emergency readiness, PLDT and Smart successfully conducted a comprehensive Fire Safety Seminar and Drill in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection Makati.

Recognizing the group’s efforts to deliver more reliable, resilient, and environmentally responsible services to its customers, PLDT and Smart were recently honored with the Success Story Award by the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines Inc.

PLDT and its wireless arm Smart Communications Inc. have added new citations to their roster of ISO certifications, reinforcing the Group's commitment to excellence across its operations.

PLDT and Smart are boosting efforts to create a safer work environment, a key part of a much broader program to advance disaster resilience. Together with BFP Makati, PLDT-Smart Property and Facilities Asset Resiliency Management Sector organized emergency drills at the PLDT Ramon Cojuangco Building and Smart Tower in Makati.

PLDT and Smart advocated to its more than 18,000-strong partner employees the importance of occupational Environment, Health and Safety systems and practices to support the PLDT Group’s agenda of ensuring safe working conditions and supporting sustainable environmental programs and initiatives.
