PLDT and wireless unit Smart showcased their Digital Farmers Program at the recent Grow Asia Innovation Challenge, underscoring the role of digital adoption in transforming Philippine agriculture.

The FarmTech initiative of PLDT and Smart in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute has empowered 43 farmer associations across the nation with a tech-based package designed to enhance their training programs, promoting technological adoption among the agricultural sector.

Farmers from Sto. Niño Organic Rice Farmers Association in Simaya, Malaybalay City, are now better equipped to empower their members with digital farming tools through a FarmTech training kit from PLDT, Smart, and the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) bolster their partnership with the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI), enabling ATI Davao Region's Kalambuan sa Kaumahan Expo.

The Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute Region 10 has turned over a FarmTech training kit to rice farmers from Barangay Raw-an Farmers Association Inc. in Lala, Lanao del Norte, in collaboration with PLDT and Smart.

PLDT and wireless unit Smart continue to enhance the capabilities of rice farmers, particularly in Mindanao, through the Digital Farmers Program, a partnership with the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Training Institute.

PLDT and wireless unit Smart participated in the Farmers Congress held recently in Talavera, Nueva Ecija, where nearly a thousand farmers learned about various programs and innovations they could utilize to improve their harvest and increase their income.

PLDT and Smart sustain livelihood opportunities for farmers and micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises with the help of technology, through collaborations with various partners.

PLDT and Smart in partnership with DA-ATI turned over a FarmTech training kit to the Integrated Carcar Rice Irrigators Association in Carcar City, Cebu, to help enhance the digital literacy of farmers.
