At this year’s Asia Stevies, multiple initiatives from the PLDT Group were honored across categories spanning community engagement, corporate social responsibility, digital platforms, and executive thought leadership.

For smallholders to truly thrive in the digital economy, technology is already a given; what drives the shift to digital agriculture is a fully integrated ecosystem — where infrastructure, service delivery, adoption enablement, and partnerships work together to turn access into impact. 

In partnership with DA-ATI, the PLDT Group is scaling the Digital Farmers Program to equip farmers with the digital skills and tools needed to thrive in a more tech-enabled agricultural sector.

Farmers and agripreneurs gained new insights on how AI could transform their work as PLDT, Smart, and DA-ATI led discussions at Agri Asenso: ATI Learning Sites Product Expo and TechnoForum.

The group recently turned over a FarmTech kit to Central Bicol State University of Agriculture to support faculty trainers and agricultural extension workers from local government units across the region.

PLDT, Smart, and the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute equip members of the Kapampangan Development Foundation Inc. to become tech champions.

Farmers in the region are now harnessing digital tools through the Scaling Up Sustainability project of Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture in collaboration with PLDT and Smart.

Farmer groups in the Davao Region now have the means to become digital agriculture champions.

PLDT and Smart continue to advance their mission of bridging the digital divide, especially in geographically challenged areas and other underserved communities across the Philippines.

PLDT and wireless unit Smart showcased their Digital Farmers Program at the recent Grow Asia Innovation Challenge, underscoring the role of digital adoption in transforming Philippine agriculture.
