PLDT, Smart strengthen post-quake support in Cebu with connectivity, relief aid

[Oct. 2, 2025] PLDT Inc., Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), PLDT Home, and PLDT Enterprise are reinforcing support for communities affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake in Northern Cebu with vital connectivity and humanitarian aid.

Smart has activated 5G-powered WiFi at the Cebu Capitol’s Relief Operations Command Center to boost coordination among responders. The group also set up Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi services at the following sites:
