PLDT and Smart’s Cyber Security Operations Group blocked more than 650,000 attempts to access online child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEM) in the first eight months of the year. Since June 2021, the PLDT Group has identified nearly two million URLs containing exploitative child content.

PLDT, Smart, and the Department of Justice Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking rolled out a cybersecurity awareness caravan in public schools to drive awareness, strengthen community education, and fortify digital defenses to protect the most vulnerable.

PLDT and Smart in collaboration with Huawei have conducted a digital upskilling session for officers and staff members of the Correctional Institution for Women. The participants learned basic online marketing skills which they could use to help sell the arts and crafts made by persons deprived of liberty at the CIW.
