PLDT 'fibers' up Bohol with completion of P600M project

MANILA, Philippines, July 8, 2014 – Leading telecoms and multimedia service provider PLDT has completed a P600-million fiber optic cable project that provides Bohol with high bandwidth connectivity that is expected to boost the economy of the Central Visayan province which is still recovering from a major earthquake last year.

MANILA, Philippines, October 14, 2013 – Leading telecoms company PLDT is investing more than P1 billion to expand its fiber network in Bohol to meet increased demand for telecoms and data services due to the expected expansion of the call center and outsourcing industries and the implementation of major development projects in the province, such as the New Bohol International Airport in Panglao island.
