PLDT, its wireless unit Smart, Adaptive Technology for Rehabilitation Integration and Empowerment of the Visually Impaired (ATRIEV), and NORFIL Foundation recently conducted a Digital Business Basics Training for persons with disabilities in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, and Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart in partnership with Filipina Homebased Moms have concluded the fourth batch of their digital upskilling program for mothers in need under the Group’s pioneering Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Advocacy through Technology (IDEATe) initiative.

Thirty-one persons with disabilities in Daanbantayan, northern Cebu, successfully completed an eight-day Digital Business Basics Training (DBBT) facilitated by ATRIEV or Adaptive Technology for Rehabilitation, Integration, and Empowerment of the Visually Impaired. This activity was conducted in partnership with PLDT Inc., Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), and NORFIL Foundation, Inc.

PLDT and wireless unit Smart Communications Inc. team up with the National Council on Disability Affairs to launch InnoGen 4.0, with the theme “Innovation for All.” The program calls on the tech-savvy youth to pitch their technology-enabled solution that empowers persons with disabilities.

PLDT and Smart affirm their commitment to help find solutions to the challenges facing the production and social sectors of the country, through technology and innovation.

Persons with disabilities in San Miguel, Bulacan, reap the benefits of PLDT and Smart’s digital training, expanding their livelihood opportunities.

Over 200 senior citizens from Carcar City, Cebu, participated in a mental health awareness and digital literacy training session conducted by PLDT and Smart in partnership with the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs and Passerelles Numériques Philippines.

PLDT and wireless unit Smart together with the Quezon City Persons with Disability Affairs Office and NORFIL Foundation help persons with visual impairment learn digital life skills to help them accomplish daily tasks.

PLDT and Smart, in partnership with ATRIEV, NORFIL Foundation, Voice Philippines, and the municipality of San Mateo, Rizal, conducted a free Digital Business Basics Training for 25 participants who are persons with disability or carers of persons with disability.

PLDT and Smart continue to foster inclusion and provide opportunities to persons with disabilities across the country by expanding the reach of their digital trainings, as part of their IDEATe program or Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Advocacy through Technology.
