PLDT and Smart Communications together with Google and ECPAT Philippines engage teachers and allies of the youth in working toward a smarter and safer digital world for children in celebration of National Teachers’ Month.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. have turned over Ligtas Kits to the three municipalities in Bantayan Island, Cebu. The coastal municipalities of Bantayan, Santa Fe, and Madridejos are among the first recipients of the group’s Ligtas Kits.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart extended ‘malasakit’ or compassion to distressed farmers in Luzon. Teaming up with social enterprise Rural Rising Philippines, PLDT and Smart employees and their contractors participated in the Box-All-You-Can event during the companies’ Sustainability Week celebration.  

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart recently launched an employee engagement initiative entitled, “Better Today Conversations: Mind Your Health”. Through storytelling, the companies invited advocates to share their stories anchored on narratives of Passion & Purpose, Strength & Resilience, Community & Empathy, and Hope.

With one Facebook post, residents of La Union saw a glimpse of hope in the form of bicycles. Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Joy Ortega and Donate A Bike, Save A Job Founder Gretchen Ho partnered with PLDT, Smart, and PLDT-Smart Foundation to bring ‘joyful’ bikes to La Union.

PLDT and Smart’s Wellness Revolution is an employee engagement program that provides a holistic and sustainable approach on wellness for the two telcos’ over 16,000-strong nationwide workforce.

PLDT and Smart, together with the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), have partnered with Donate A Bike, Save A Job Founder Gretchen Ho by providing Bikes for Livelihood to the Province of La Union. 

Efforts of PLDT, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) are still underway to provide immediate assistance in the form of communication as aid, relief goods, and hygiene kits to communities affected by the recent Magnitude 7 earthquake that rocked North Luzon.
